Argentine Tango

Originating in Buenos Aires (Argentina) and later in Montevideo (Uruguay).

Tango is a completely improvised dance, which relies on learning technique for a leader (usually the man) and follower (usually the woman) enabling them to transmit and read the movements of their partner by means of a connection through the chest (if in close embrace) or arms (if in open embrace).

(It predates and is completely unlike Ballroom Tango which is based on a series of learnt choreographed moves.)
